And what I thought was I want to get the girls and I in our PJ’s, cook a mean meal, and curl up and watch some movies. For me the cooking is a big deal, because I am not the chef in the house. And since now I HAVE to be, well let’s just say I am burnt out on all the local restaurants. So, I may leave the kitchen a disaster afterwards, but I’m thinking I have to agree…cooking might be just the therapy I need (wish I could nap too but mine are too old-blek!).

I am worn to the bone…exhausted from several weeks of insomnia since hubby left. I'll have to try that. I LOVE my VitaMix (blender)! That thing whirls so fast you can put about anything in it and it tastes good. Just don't let your kids watch. If my son watches, he'll tell me not to put grass (wheat grass) or salad (spinach or kale) in the juice ;-) They have a bunch of recipes in the recipe book that comes with it as well as online (I believe). Adding pineapple (frozen or fresh) I've found gives things a kick. Today I made a drink with frozen pineapple, carrot, apple, ice, kale, some fresh OJ and a little ice. It was great. A great thing about the VitaMix is that all the good stuff (fiber) gets consumed versus strained. This puppy also makes hot soups which is fantastic for quick and healthy meals. Costco demo's the unit and it's a great deal when they're there.

Yum! I’ll have to try that. I LOVE my VitaMix (blender)!
