Glad to hear you've had some laughter in your day. I thought of you today, as I'm sure many others have you in their prayers. I read one of those church signs today...It shared the simple reminder of 1) God 2) Others 3) Self.... MeRa you without a doubt have the first two figured out pat...it's that third one the Lord needs you not to forget! I think allot of us gals tend to leave that last one off our list...Ourselves! I heard Beth Moore speak of our souls being like a tall glass of water. When our glass is full we are able to splash out love, joy, creativity... etc... out into the world and onto others. But if you think about it...we give of ourselves-a little water seeps out, we go and go and never rest- more water leaks out, this person or that ( our children, husband, client, friend, boss, stranger, project, deadline, travel, etc) takes a sip or sometimes even a gulp here and there. Before we even realize it our glass is flat empty- nothing left, nothing to slosh out any more, nothing to give. That's when the moment comes (that moment crying on the kitchen floor, feeling brain dead) for us to realize the gift God has to offer us everyday, if we would just slow down even just for a moment to drink from His well more often, our glass could be replenished continually. I have so been there! He alone is the one that can be our living water when we find ourselves in that dry and barren place. My prayer for you this Christmas is that you can rest, breath easy, enjoy the simple things and allow God and family to fill your cup! I too, went to see Amy in concert, complete with stirrup pants and long, loudly colored sweater. Lol. I remember thinking it was absolutely awesome... while my Mom and Dad were thinking it was a bit too much. "Bless your heart" You've had so much going on! Feeling totally "tanked" is understandable! Just the moving stuff alone is enough to do it (we've moved twice this year, so I can relate!) Sounds like your brother and Brian are awesome support(and your blog friends too). So glad you are feeling better now. I can't believe how many of you were there! Just think, we could have been sitting within rows of eachother! Now I'm determined to find that photo of me and Michael W. Smith after his Big Picture tour. My girlfriend and I waited for almost two hours to see if we could get a photo with him. And we did! I've got to find it, you would all crack up! But my mom, she was the rock star. She drove us to all these concerts and rocked out next to us. (love you mom!) I’m cracking up! I can’t believe how many of you were there!
