I lived with some of the Hills Tribes up by Chiang Rai for a little while and I remember the Tokay lizards making their windup chirping noise... the buzz of the jungle... the smiles of the people... and the raw experience of nature and God. Thanks for reminding me... And riding an elephant through the Jungle definitely was one of my favorite Thailand experiences too. Reading your account of life in the Thai jungles brings back so many memories for me.
