This was a Fall Shoot that I did for close friends. We started late so the sun was higher then I wanted it to be. So I did decide to backlight them and metered on the little boy's face. Kept my meter in between 0-1. And the color is pretty much out of the camera, the Sony 900 color is that good. Not exposure or brightness really added either. But I did up the contrast a bit to bring more definition to the sharpness of the leaves. And I also added a vignette too. Hope that helps! Great question Lora.
