Breakfast with Brian

Me Ra Koh

We have left the island of Koh Tao.  But before parting, I had to share this image.  Every morning we had breakfast at this table overlooking the bay.  Brian was feeling so stuffed up, but doesn’t the scene itself look serene.  The kids would climb the rocks, and we would sit and read over a pot of Green Tea.  Hard to leave this place, but it’s good to be exploring a bit this time.  And off we go to Koh Phi Phi.

For all of my Photo Recipe lovers, here we go!

I lowered my ISO to 100 for the best color saturation.  It was pretty bright out so I could get away with the 100 ISO.  My f-stop was 4.5 because Blaze was all over the place.  So I wanted to make sure I caught some good detail on him.  And my Shutter Speed was 1/80th of a second.

xoxo,

Me Ra

  13. […] why I am on that island. It is mine. It is a place that could be a refuge instead of a challenge. Me Ra Koh is writing now from her island refuge in Thailand. The images are beautiful. My island just happens […]

Thank you so much for the info on the photo! That means the world to me! One question though, from the focusing point, would you tell me what focusing you use? I mean the dots? Center? All? a specific? I just got my dSLR a few months ago and am learning lots! Thanks!

MeRa, I have followed your adventures in Thailand since your last visit there and it inspired my husband and I to go there in November for our honeymoon. I FELL.IN.LOVE. The people, the food, the scenery… INCREDIBLE.
I’m now pregnant- (Yay!) and we made a promise that in five years we will return and share this place with our babies. Thanks so much for your inspiration that you CAN travel to far places with kids- as far as I’m concerned, it’s the best education you can get!
Have you guys visited Ko Samui? That was our favorite! Good luck and I cant wait to hear/ see more of your days on the great land.
