Some Good News and Some Good Reads!

Me Ra Koh

Good news is that DVD 2, Beyond the Green Box is back in stock again! Remember that special offer we made before Christmas of Free 2 day Shipping? Well, the sales were WAY more than we expected and Beyond the Green Box sold out of inventory. But we didn’t even know until after the holidays. What a mess for some of our customers. Those of you who were affected, we appreciate your patience and support so much. You should have received an email from Brian with a bunch of stuff in it to make up “the mess” to you. If not, email Brian at brian@fioria.us.

I slept over twelve hours last night and woke up feeling yucky. You know the drill; runny nose, cough and chills. No fun. So I’m keeping this short today. πŸ™‚

After homeschool, I’m going to curl up on the couch with a favorite book. Here are a few of my favorites good reads, if your looking for something new!

Walking on Water by Madeleine L’engle.

The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron.

She has a whole website and forum you can join! Check it out!

And the book I’m reading right now is The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. Have you read it? It’s wonderful.

Okay, back to the couch. πŸ™‚

i loved the red tent. makes me want to take a week out of every month and have a womanly get together. i was inspired by quotes from the artist’s way, so i will try & pass on to many artists that i know. love, peace & joy, pamela (chicago, nov. 08)

Oh Red Tent is wonderful!!! I read it a few years ago and LOVED it!!! Enjoy!!!

Along the same lines, you might look into: The Canaan Trilogy by Marek Halter. It includes: Sarah: A Novel,
Zipporah, Wife of Moses: A Novel, Lilah: A Novel….if you want. πŸ™‚

Currently I’m reading to Outliers by Malcolm Galdwell. WOW – enlighting and encouraging!!!

Gladwell states in the book (and I just love this…going up on a wall in my house or something for me & my kids): “Practice isn’t the thing you do once you’re good, it’s the thing you do
    that makes you good”

  5. Sara Elliott says:

I hope you feel better soon! Rest and relax your body and soul.

  6. Anita says:

Walking on Water is one of my absolute favorites!

I hope you feel better soon.

Also, I wanted to let you know that I am running a contest on my blog launching my new brand…and the winner gets a logo design as the prize. I thought maybe some of the amazing women you work with would be interested in a prize like that!

  7. amy says:

Thanks for the book suggestions, I’m always looking for something new to read. One of my goals this year is to finish every book I start! I just found a new website (new to me) that I love where you can track your books and write your own reviews and then share with friends. It’s pretty neat.

  8. jeramy says:

Amanda, chicken soup is required to get the details for the upcoming workshop! πŸ™‚

No, but seriously, we had things pretty much worked out and then OSPW was scheduled for the same dates. This put everything back on the drawing board so we hope to have answers by the end of the week. πŸ™‚ But feel free to still bring chicken soup. πŸ˜‰

  14. Sharon says:

    Amanda! Bring her the soup!

  15. Stephanie says:

Amanda – do you have the soup there yet?? I’m in MI so it would be cold by the time it gets there. Great now I have to stalk this blog for the rest of the week. I’m going to get nothing done.
