Are you overwhelmed from a growing mountain of photos that need to be organized?  Do you need to find photos you took last year?  How about from three years ago?!  Do you only have one copy of your photos and worry that you could lose them all if you don’t come up with a solution? Are you wasting creative energy and money worrying about the best way to archive your photographs? Do you spend HOURS looking for a single photo only to come up empty handed?  Are there other things you could be doing with your photos to diversify your photography income–but you can’t even think about it because you can’t find your photos easily?

This Adobe Lightroom Custom Photo Organization course was inspired by all our CONFIDENCE Workshop attendees. The request for “Can I just pay Brian to help me organize all my photos?” got him thinking on how to best do it!  He wrote this popular blog post; The Best Way to Organize Your Photos and launched this 4 week course!

History in a Nutshell: Before Brian got into photography, he helped created systems and infrastructures for national banks to organize their millions of check images.  You could say he has a talent and passion for photo organization!

In this Adobe Lightroom Custom Photo Organization course, learn hands-on the best way to organize, archive, and backup your photos with Brian Tausend (Me Ra’s secret weapon!) in this AWE-mazing 4 week course.  Every week includes one-one sessions. And when the course is done, Brian is still available.  He wants to see your new Adobe Lightroom Custom Photo Organization continue on and on, so he checks in on you every 3-6 months for a year!

So what is there to think about?  YES, IT IS POSSIBLE to have all your photos beautiful organized and backed up!

Just read the reviews from past attendees!  We’ve had women from 75 years old to late 20’s somethings take this course.

Clean up your current photo mess, get peace of mind, save time in the future when looking for past photos, add new images to your system the right way the first time, learn about options for licensing your photos and more…

Q:  Will Brian be available for more help after the course ends?  Do I have to pay for that?

A:  Great news!  Brian will still be available after the course, and as a student, you don’t have to pay for it.  In fact, he’ll follow up with you every 3-6 months after the course for a YEAR to make sure your custom photo organization is working like a well, oiled machine.  So if you’re scared that it won’t last, we’ve got you covered!

Q:  Do I need to know how to use Lightroom?

A:  No, you don’t have to know how to use Lightroom to take this course.  In fact, many photographers know how to use it for editing, but they still don’t know how to best organize with it.  For this reason he’ll be walking you through Lightroom step-by-step.

Q: Will you record the group sessions?  Will you record my private, one-on-one sessions so I can review it later?

A:  Yes, he’ll be recording ALL sessions with video so you can watch them again later and follow his screen.

Q:  What if I have photos everywhere?!  On old smart phones, in the cloud, on my computer, on hard drives, in iphoto…will he be able to organize all those too?

A:  At the end of the four weeks, ALL your photos (from EVERYWHERE) will be in one spot and organized.  No mountain of photos is to high for Brian!  🙂  And since photography is our profession, we know you can’t beat us in how many images you have!  LOL!

Q:  How much time should I plan to spend on this course each week?

A:  All things considered, expect to spend 1-3 hours each week on this course.

Q:  What if I need more one-on-one time with Brian?

A:  You’ll get it!  First and foremost he will do one-on-one sessions with each student every week.  Plus, he’ll be following up with you for the next YEAR once the course ends!  How can you beat that?!

Begins Wednesday, September 12th 2018

This course is limited to 6 spots.

See the Cape?

A number of you have emailed with HUGE disclaimers that your current “photo mess” may be to messy for Brian.  LOL!  He’s a superhero ladies when it comes to photo organization, and that’s also why he only takes 6 students at once.  Picture him on the top of your photo mountain mess with a cape and slogan in the sky that says “No Photo Mess is to Messy for Brian!”  🙂  Not only will you get your photos organized, but if you’ve had an time with Brian you know he’s always also going to make it fun!

Finally, the time has come for you to experience the freedom of it in Brian’s Adobe Lightroom Custom Photo Organization course!

  • Week 1

The first class includes two things; Brian takes your small group through an in-depth look at understanding Lightroom as an Organizational Tool. You remote into his computer and follow along as he walks you through the science behind how he organizes photos and why we use Lightroom.  This live, video session is recorded so you can re-watch it any time.  Secondly, Brian also does one-on-one sessions with each student to make sure your start is strong!

If you’re not familiar with Lightroom, no worries.  He starts from the ground up!

  • Week 2

In Week 2, you have a second live video session with your small group.  Plus, you also do a second one-on-one session to continue to set up the framework for beautiful photo organization!  (The most magical part is when Brian remotes in to your computer and helps you hands-on! It’s like watching a MAGIC WAND turn your headache into a big smile!)

  • Week 3 and 4

Brian continues to set up individual sessions (1-2 hours long) with each student helping them finesse their organizational structure so it’s sustainable and custom to them. These last two weeks are incredible with him being able to get super hands-on with your existing set up. Customizing it in ways that will meet your future needs. Plus, once the course is over Brian will continue to be available and follow up with you every 3-6 months for the next year!  How can you not afford to do this?

To good to be true?  Just read the reviews!

  • Cancellation Policy

If for some reason you should need to cancel, then we will apply your payment(s) as credit to a future CONFIDENCE or online workshop within 24 months of your original workshop up to 45 days before the workshop weekend.  If you need to cancel within the 45 days leading up to the workshop, we will do our best to fill your spot and apply your payment(s) to a future workshop within the next 24 months. I emailed Merakoh prior to signing up for Brian’s class to let her know that I was VERY computer challenged and that I had tried other classes and was unsuccessful in organizing my images. I let her know that I was definitely not interested in investing more money and still not understanding how to organize my photos. I heard back from her and she reassured me that Brian would be able to help me. I signed up! I am organized!!! I can’t believe it but all my images are in folders that are named and I believe I can keep it up. Because of my very limited computer skills Brian said I was a challenge! He stayed with me though and he was cheerful and kind. He’s very competent and I’m completely serious when I say that if he could help me get organized he can YOU too!

I was introduced to Me Ra and Brian’s easy-going, down-to-earth style when I had the pleasure of attending one of their first confidence workshops back in 2008! Lightroom was a completely new concept to me back then and it didn’t take long to get myself bogged down in images that were scattered all over the place both in Lightroom and on my computer. In an effort to save myself from the Lightroom monster I had created, I attended a workshop with a well respected Lightroom “guru” in an attempt to get things organized once and for all. The process and format were comprehensive and complete, but I found them to be too time consuming and I simply wasn’t able to keep up with it all. Enter Brian and his Lightroom photo organization course. Initially, I was worried I wouldn’t be Lightroom savvy enough to fully understand and embrace Brian’s methods, but I was wrong. Brian was able to explain how Lightroom works in a practical way. He was also able to get my computer filing system working for me which was another huge area of disorganization. Brian utilizes a Windows based OS, but was easily able to help me navigate my Mac without issue. His style is still as easy-going and as down-to-earth as it was back in 2008 which made the class fun and light, while still accomplishing what he set out to do. Scheduling in this busy day and age can be difficult, to say the least, but Brian was very flexible when it came to scheduling one-on-one consults, or rescheduling upon request, when a conflict popped up. For those considering this class, I would highly encourage you to enroll. This class is worth the investment.

This class rocks! I am usually an organized type A kind of person but my LR catalog did not reflect my personality. It was a mess, because I didn’t know what I was doing or my thought of organizing wasn’t making sense when it came to LR.

With Brian’s help, it is now perfect! It makes sense, I can find my pictures, everything is all in one place, and the best part is I know how, why, and what to do. Plus Brian, was very patient and super knowledgeable of LR. I appreciated that there were times he would guide me to solve my own problems and then there were times he knew when to jump on to my computer to fix major problems. He is awesome!

I am a full time working mom of three, so the way this class was set-up was very convenient for my crazy schedule. If you need help with organizing your photos in LR, this class is perfect and for you!

Thanks to Brian all my photos are organized. My favorite part was the one on one where we worked specifically on my photos. I was amazed at how we could share commuter screens and Brian could step by step show me how to work my very own lightroom setup. The help doesn’t stop when the course is over, the closed Facebook group is a great place to continue to ask questions.
I learned a lot about lightroom and backing up photos for safe keeping.
    Thanks Brian!

I consider myself to be a very organized person, sometimes overly so. I have been using Lightroom for 3+ years and had my own organization system that worked well for me. I have recently decided that I want to involve myself more in photography again…along came Brian’s Lightroom to the Rescue. I knew that my system of organization was not complete so I wanted to see what Brian had to offer. It all began very well as he laid out the basics, much of which I was already familiar. Brian is very informative and knowledgeable and I have a tremendous amount of respect for his expertise. I admit to some skepticism during our first one-on-one as I watched him moving my files around on my computer. I tried not to panic, attempted to keep my OCD under wraps! By the end of the first one-on-one, I could see the value in his system…photos are much easier to locate now! There is now a real concentrated effort on my part to re-learn a new method of importing my raw files from the beginning as that is my biggest challenge…letting go of an established habit in exchange for a more effective one. But ABSOLUTELY I highly recommend Brian’s course to help you organize your filing system. Thank you, Brian!

Before I took this course, I used Lightroom to edit and export photos only (for years … YEARS … sigh). What’s extra embarrassing is that I own multiple Lightroom self-help books and have watched online courses, but it did little for me in the areas that I really needed. I had no idea how to properly import/export or use Lightroom to organize and file.
Then, my sister passed away rather suddenly, and I inherited (gratefully) her digital life. Now I had not only years of my own photos, but also years of hers – to say that I was a little digitally overwhelmed is an understatement. I couldn’t manage much longer not being able to ask questions to the book or the screen. This is where this class fills a void. You have set meeting times to keep you accountable, and the benefit is in the 1:1 sessions where you can share your screen with Brian and talk to him 1:1 as he walks you through what you need. It’s highly individualized after the first group meeting.
In the end, I have an organized and HIGHLY FUNCTIONAL photo filing system. As a happy by product, since Lightroom organizes by day and time shot, I can see what my sister was shooting at the exact moment of some of my photographs even though we lived in two different towns. It added an interesting perspective to my memory of her and, for me, was the cherry on top of the experience!

This course is a life-saver!! I had photos ALL OVER the place, (and lots of them!) and Brian came to the rescue!! His one on one sessions where amazing and I kept telling him there was no way I could have done it by myself. He worked seamlessly with getting my pictures from iPhoto into Lightroom as well as from multiple external hard drives, my iPhone, and various other places. The wonderful thing is that he would “take over” my computer remotely, and move things where it needed to be so I could see what he was doing, then he would walk me through it step by step so I felt confident doing it on my own. His warm, reassuring, (and I needed reassuring as we were moving photos around, because I always fear I am going to delete something) and easy-going personality is a delight to work with. He was very flexible and was willing to put in extra time to help me get my photos organized. He actually spent extra sessions with me because I had such a mess on my hands. I was nervous that I wasn’t going to finish before my time “ran out” with him, and he told me, “we aren’t done until we are done….You will know when we are done.” That is complete service! I kept on telling my husband that I was so glad I took this course because I finally got all my photos organized and now I feel like I can actually do something with them….instead of them sitting in the abyss of my hard drives and computer. One of the most impressive things about Brian is his knowledge and understanding of the Lightroom program. I had some complicated questions that involved deeper knowledge, and Brain never had trouble helping me troubleshoot my issues. He uses a PC, and I use a Mac, but you would never know it. He cruised around my Mac like it is what he uses at home. This course is worth the investment cost, because it is priceless to have peace of mind that your photos are organized and safe. Before this class, I felt like pulling my hair out over my photo mess, and now I love scrolling through all my organized photos. 🙂 I would absolutely take this class again, and it was worth every penny. (in fact, I am encouraging my father to do it with his photos!) Seriously, Brian really did come to the rescue! Thank you Brian!!! If you feel overwhelmed by your photo “mess”, I would highly highly recommend this course!!!!!! Three cheers for organized photos!! 🙂

Who buys Lightroom but leaves the disc in its original, sealed package for well over a year? Who stored all her photos on SD cards, just to buy more when the others became full?
Who still can’t believe her photos are organized almost a year after taking Brian’s Adobe Lightroom Photo Organization to the Rescue online course?!?

Yes, I am raising my hand to all of the questions above. If you are reading this, I am sure you can relate on some level. That means this course is for YOU too!

While taking the course, I thought about why it had taken me so long to open that Lightroom box. I was intimidated by the program and the task of dealing with ALL of my photos seemed daunting. With Brian’s course, you learn an overview of Lightroom and his system for organization. Then, he meets with you one-on-one until EACH and EVERY one of your photos is organized – no matter if it’s just a hundred, in the thousands, or even a million. How awesome is that!

And seriously, before the course, I really did have my photos stored only on SD cards. But this “Queen of SD Cards,” has been dethroned. Brian taught me how to safely store and backup all of my images. I am so thankful to know my photos are SAFE now. I find that priceless.

If you are new to Lightroom or have your own photo mess, I HIGHLY recommend this course.

I have traveled with Me Ra and Brian and love them both..I signed up for Brian’s class to move from Aperature to Lightroom..I have 12,000 photos and could not have done it myself…Brian handled it with ease and I learned to organize and keyword and now I am off and running..I loved having him live on my computer and helping me every step of the way..I highly recommend this course!

Organizing over 50,000 photos taken over roughly a decade seemed like an impossible task until Brian came to our rescue. We had used Lightroom, but were confused when it came to catalogs. Do we create a new catalog with every upload, where should we store our catalogs, should we be only shooting in raw……these were just a few of our many questions. Luckily, our problems were just the kind of challenges Brian loves, and we were organized in no time, and he took the time to teach us how to lead a happy organized photography life! Brian’s class not only includes small group lessons, but the all important one-on-one sessions that target your specific needs on your specific equipment. If you only take one photo class this next year, it needs to be Adobe Lightroom Photo Organization to the Rescue by Brian Tausend!

I am a 65 year old grandmother that hates technology. I did things my way. I got overwhelmed with photos, dates, events and bam…I quit taking photos. I couldn’t find them so why do I bother. I was searching google for a quick solution; there are tons of ways to organize but somehow I connected with Brian. I signed up (after a glass of wine) because I didn’t know if I could even log in to the class…and honestly it has been life changing. I can find a photo of my grandchild’s 1st soccer practice; or a vacation we took in Utah. It is none less than miraculous. Plus, it was fun. Brian has figured out the simplest, easiest ways to use Lightroom and it totally works. If you are even thinking of a way to get organized…this is for you.

If you have thousands of photos stored in multiple devices/locations and are intimidated by the prospect of trying to get them centralized and organized, then this is the course for you! I kept putting off this daunting task because I was overwhelmed, had never used Lightroom, didn’t know where to begin and didn’t know how I was going to do it on my own. Thank goodness for Brian and his Lightroom to the Rescue Course. When I heard about this offering, I knew that it was worth the investment to get my photos in order and give me peace of mind. But here’s the thing – you get so much more than that. You get an easy to understand, repeatable process that will serve you throughout your photography lifetime. Brian meets with you one-on-one via video meeting to understand the landscape (mess) of images and locations, introduce you to his system and help tailor it for your needs. He provides an overview of Lightroom so that you understand the features and terminology of the application, as well as how to use it. Through a remote computer sharing capabilities, Brian is able to access files directly on your computer and give you step-by-step directions on how your photo organization journey will take place. He is very patient and a great teacher who ensures that you understand the process, have the confidence to manage it in the future without him, and that no photos are left behind. Brian was able to de-mystify Lightroom for me – thank you, Brian! I love that my photos are all in the same place AND organized in a manner that helps me easily manage and locate my photos with no stress or anxiety. I highly recommend this course to anyone who needs help organizing their photos and understanding Lightroom!

For me, 5 stars is not enough. Brian saved me! I am a photographer for NASCAR and Texas Motor Speedway, which means that I am required to hand over all my pictures at the end of the day so that they can be displayed on a big screen for members to enjoy. Which really stinks when you’ve taken almost 2000 a day, and I’m there for 3 full days. It adds up. My dilemma, and my achilles heal was organization in a fast paced manner. I didn’t want to hand over blurry, over and under exposed pictures, just the ones that made the cut, but going through all of them can take hours. And I wanted to edit the good ones! So last week, I got the chance to try out my new organized self after taking Brians class. I was nervous and excited all at the same time!
At the end of every day, I was able to hand over roughly 500…EDITED… beautiful pictures for them to show in a slide show of race cars, drivers, and most importantly, members having a great experience with the drivers themselves. All of my pictures were organized, and I was quickly able to review my days work in less than hour! Work that would have taken me hours in the past. I was always staying late. But not this time, and not in the future. I was so pleased with the results, that I have trouble coming up the right words to describe how grateful and happy I am that I was able to get Brians help. The best part too is that he’s there for you until YOU are ready to cut the cord. I love it! I can’t recommend it enough. It is one of the best things I’ve done for my photography career. Thank You Brian! Thank You Thank You Thank You!!!

I finally broke down and admitted that I needed help!!! Whew! I had about 28,000 pictures in “Photos” on my MAC, had been contemplating trying Lightroom for about a year and had absolutely no idea how to accomplish moving all of them or whether or not I SHOULD move all of them into Lightroom. It was simply a bit overwhelming and a little embarrassing that I had all of those photos and no organization going on. I tried reading, I tried” You-Tubing” and then I tried…… Brian. BEST thing I’ve done yet for my photography! He got all of my photos organized, taught me all the ins and outs of naming my folders and backing them all up on to external hard drives and even taught me a little bit about editing in Lightroom along he way. The best thing is, our sessions were all recorded and I can go back to watch them over if I forget how to do something. I would so recommend this course to anyone contemplating using Lightroom …… I only wish I’d done it years ago.
